Just a Heads Up

I just wanted to let everyone know that sometimes it is hard for me to get content up as fast as I was doing. At the beginning of this blog I was posting almost every day! My love for this series has not changed and I have a lot of content coming I just haven't had the time this week to write it all up. I'm working on it now and the usual Sunday post will be up on time. I'll also have some premade posts so this upcoming week we will have some more posts coming out throughout the week, most likely on Tuesday and possibly Thursday. I'm not sure how long I can wait to post them once they're completely finished.

I am currently working on my master's degree so school is in session and that boggs down my usual pace and I'm also working on a huge puzzle! When I say huge this thing is over 40,000 pieces! My goal is to have this puzzle done before my wedding in June so in order to do that, I'm going to have to work on it like it's my full-time job over the next few months because I really want to incorporate it into my wedding! So if you are really missing the story and want to try to get your fix you can always check out my Instagram. At the beginning of this expedition, I was trying to maintain my blog before posting pictures because I didn't want the pictures to spoil the posts but I've finally decided this week that I can't just wait to post these pictures because if I do I'll lose them, forget to post them, or never have any content coming out. So my Instagram is totally dedicated to this story as of right now and it will always have at least one post a day, usually in the evening. With a little update with the story because I always try to fit in at least an hour of gameplay in a day. I just got the puzzle a day ago so my sims have been neglected a little bit. But I'll figure out a better system in the future. I just wanted to touch base with everyone so you will know that I haven't forgotten to post anything and I haven't abandoned my project, at least yet. Just my adult/nerdy life is getting in the way a little bit!

As always if you have any questions or feedback please let me know and stay tuned for the next entry of the Disney family life! I have a lot of stuff so please don't hate me if it is a little rambly over the next few posts.

Gen 2: Maleficent Ages Up!

I ended up aging Maleficent up early and let me explain why. First, I lost her! I don't remember what I was doing exactly but I just loaded the game and I was playing with MCCC because I wanted to change her name. I accidentally named her Ursula because I'm serious I keep calling her Ursula even though I know that she is Maleficent and her inspiration throughout her Sim life is Maleficent. There was a button on the right side that had no wordings on it at all so I was curious what would happen if I clicked it! If you have MCCC you probably know there isn't a whole lot of options when you click on a baby. Well, that button sent her straight to the adoption agency and I couldn't get her back!  To be fair she was a very fussy baby and it was like we couldn't keep her happy! There was literally someone with her 24/7. So that was another reason I wanted to age her up a little early. Thank goodness I didn't save the game so I was able to go out of the game and back in and there she was! I was so freaking happy she was there again you guys! I really have no clue what I would've done if I lost her permanently.

Dina and Maleficent

When I say I aged her up early let me explain that she wasn't born one day and then BAM, a toddler. We had her relationship levels maxed out with both Dina and Mickey at this point. She had been a toddler in Sims for about a full sim week before we aged her up. Plus after I lost her I had no choice this baby was becoming a toddler whether she liked it or not.

Toddler Maleficent

Maleficent as a toddler is so adorable and she really gives off the Monsters Inc Boo in the next picture with her piggy tales. Now you might be asking why this baby is so cute and adorable if she is supposed to be Maleficent. Well my idea that I have with her is that she starts off loving her family and is super close with all of them as a toddler. Here she is super smart and so happy. But as a child when she starts pulling away from her happy life. She starts becoming friends with all the wrong people, and by the time she is a teenager she is studying the dark arts spellcasting and is a complete rebel. She hates how she feels like something is wrong with her because she isn't perfect like her siblings causing her to resent parents. So she's going to end up with a 'Jealousy' trait as soon as I can give it to her and this little cutie is going to start pulling away from her family and becoming a completely different Sim.

Toddler Maleficent with Piggy Tales

As a toddler, she has the 'charmer' trait and she's so far been the perfect toddler. Mickey has been an awesome parent, always checking on her and everything. I think where they already had a lot of experience raising Aubrey it helped a lot.

Mickey and Pluto Potty Training Maleficent

Sidenote they all keep wearing their cold wear and I'm not sure why! It is driving me crazy because we have the heat turned on, they have a fire going all the time. But they all keep wearing the cold gear. It is just one of those things that is so annoying.

But here is the other reason I was trying to work on the house some. Aubrey's child room I wasn't all that happy with so I redid that, which you can see over in the updated house tour. After moving her into the child room I still had baby Maleficent at this point. Well, I went to check on Mickey and Minnie and they were woohooing! After they were done Dina went and took a pregnancy test and sure enough she was pregnant!

Dina's Second Pregnancy

I'm really hoping this time is twins! Preferably two boys but we can just wait and see what comes out of this storyline. But I can tell you this now, Maleficent was so sad after hearing about Dina being pregnant! She is already sticking true to her character!

Gen 1: The New Generation Begins!

The day of Audrey's birthday party Dina started her family leaves, and the very next day Audrey went into labor! She had a baby girl that we named Maleficent. I honestly keep wanting to call her Ursula and I'm just hooked on it for someone. It's driving me nuts. I even accidentally named her that so I'll have to change it when she ages up.

Dina's Third Trimester

When she went into labor Dina was so huge I was for sure she was going to have twins! I mean look at her she got bigger! Even after the party yesterday she gained more so much more just overnight! It's crazy looking at the picture of her and Aubrey to today right before she had Maleficient. I think this is the longest I waited for a sim to have a baby too. So I sent her on a walk with Pluto. While she was walking Pluto, Mickey was in the living room working out and Audrey was at school.

Dina literally had Maleficient right after her walk with Pluto and Audrey just walked through the door when she went into labor. I hate going to the hospital because it takes forever and no one does what I want them too so we just had the baby upstairs by the bassinet.

Dina having Maleficent
I know the bassinets are free if you just have the baby but I really wanted to use this one because I'm so tired of having the same thing over and over.

It is a little weird that Aubrey's new school friend showed up while Dina was having her baby but it is what it is because this is sims and things just happen. I couldn't not add this picture because I love her facial expression so much!

I love Aubrey and I love the connection that Aubrey and Dina have. But that being said I think this is one of my favorite pictures of any sim and baby combo. Dina's smiling at Maleficient and vice versa! This is crazy that she is going to grow up and be evil but she does start out loving and happy in the beginning and won't start pulling away until she a teenager. It's going to be heartbreaking!

Baby Maleficent

I can't wait to see how Maleficent grows up and see how her story goes. Hopefully, I will stop calling her Ursula too! If I didn't have plans for her I would've changed it to Ursula.

ShayKay's Disney Legacy Challenge - Generation 2 Goals

Since our first biological baby was born for the new generation I'm going to go ahead and put up the goals for this new generation. As of right now, Aubrey isn't counted into that new generation because she wasn't a child that we were expecting to have but I love her so much so we are going to continue to follow her story but she will not be part of the Disney challenge unless I can find a character she really fits that isn't already planned out in the storyline that we have as of right now.

The second generation is going to have a lot going on. With my first generation, we only had one sim as our main goal even though we had a lot going on such as finding his wife, creating a family, and even adopting baby Aubrey. This second-generation has a lot more going on! Even before we started adding to it. Right now Mrs. Disney is pregnant with her first biological child so I wanted to take this time to go ahead and put out there what we are going to be working towards throughout this next generation of kiddos.

For this generation, we are going to have at least 3 more children, depending on how long it takes to get two boys and a girl. If we end up having more children in between these three that aren't these genders then we will just have more kids. I might add more characters to this generation so we can work through some other lives because I have a few pages full of other characters that I would love to have in the game I just didn't know where they would fit in at. And I've been thinking it would be awesome to not use MCCC to change the gender of the babies and just add more characters. The only issue with this particular generation is that we already have three sims to play through so I don't know if I can handle having more in the game or not yet. We will just have to wait and see how it goes.

One of the boys is going to be Steve for Captain America. I originally wanted Steve to be the oldest kid in the family but we have Aubrey so that idea went out the window. With Steve, he is going to have the "Brave" and "Atheltic" traits for sure. For his third trait, I've contemplated loyal or something honorable since this is Captain America. He is going to have to complete the Athletic aspiration. For his skills I want him to max out is definitely athletic, logic, and charisma. I think he should start out this very scrawny, sickish kid who gets bullied a lot. Then start working out as a teen. I want him to have his athletic skill maxed out somewhere between teen and young adult since I want him to join the army as a young adult and work his way through all the ranks to earn all of the medals. His life is going to be a little heartbreaking though. I want him to fall in love deeply as a young adult but they never get married or even live together. They get separated from each other as young adults and do not find each other again until they are both elders, and then live out their final days blissfully in love. In this storyline, he doesn't have any kids and in the movie, I don't think he ever had any kids either.

For the second son, I want him it to be Adam. Adam was the human name of the beast in Beauty and the Beast. I want him to be the fussy child since he was definitely spoiled, take life for granted type of person. I'm not 100% sure all three of his traits yet but I know he is going to have the 'Hot-Headed' trait that he will keep all his life. But the other two I think are going to change because I definitely want him to have the 'Snob' trait as a child but after being turned into the beast I want him to start becoming compassionate and turn into this prince that Belle falls in love with. I think his transformation is going to happen between teen to young adult and spend his young adult life as the beast. While he is a beast I want him to fin an intelligent girl who has the 'Bookworm' and 'Genius' traits who he keeps hostage. I want him to start giving her stuff like a bookcase and start building her a library and a friendship, and then slowly turn into love. I want them to fall in love and get married. While he is a beast he needs to become a loner who maxes out his gardening and logic skills, especially growing and tending to roses. They can have as many kids as they want too on their own. This is more of a side character instead of the main legacy sim.

The last child that I definitely want them to have is Maleficent. Originally I had her as the founder of my family tree that I was working on. But then my Mickey Mouse epiphany happened and  I had to start this adventure with him. With Maleficent I want her to grow up with unconditional love from her siblings and parents, but she always feels like the odd-ball. While she is a teenager I want her to start pulling away from her family, start wearing all black, and really cutting ties to everyone she was close to as a child. As a teenager, she realizes she is different from the rest of her family because she is a spellcaster. This is where she starts pulling away from her family. For her as a person, I want her to be the 'Charmer' toddler and then have the 'Ambitious' and 'Mean' traits. As a young adult, I want her to complete the criminal aspiration and reach the top of the criminal career. For the skills, she is going to have to max out 'Mischief' and the dark arts. By the time she is an elder I want her to have at least 3 declared enemies. She is going to be our legacy sim so we are going to continue with her children. She is going to have to marry a sim with a daughter, and then they will have two children together.

**All images in my collages like this come from Pinterest. I do not own or make them I just put them in the collage to help add some color to these long wordy posts.

Updated House Tour

Since Mrs. Disney is pregnant and Aubrey is about to age up I really wanted to update the house some. Since this house is so large and there was so much open space around it makes it easy for me to update it some. Since the last house tour, I've decorated it a little bit to make it lived in. I'm still having issues with the kitchen since it is such a large open area.

Front Porch

On the front porch, you can see their little flower boxes that Dina uses to make flower arrangements. I want Mickey to max out his woodworking/handiness skill but so far he hasn't used the woodworking table much except to make a sculpture for their dining room table. You kind of see that I moved the door over to the sidewall instead of walking straight up the stairs and into the house. I like the idea of walking into the house through the kitchen instead of into the dining room.

Dining Room

The dining room is still on the same side of the house as the kitchen. I love the rug and you can see that we've added some pictures to the wall. I need to rearrange them however they are just up on the wall right now. I've added the music box and I love how it looks. The walls are navy but they look black here.

Kitchen

The blue theme follows through the whole house but I love the white tiled wall with the cutting board counter and blue appliances. The tile is a darker gray in gameplay but I took these pictures at night while they were all mostly asleep. Not much has really changed in here, and I've recently added a popcorn maker for Aubrey. The house is slowly starting to fill up with clutter and I think it will really help it look full. I think my biggest issue with the house is the windows. They take up two squares but they don't look like it. So they don't line up with anything! It drives me nuts.

Painting Corner

They still have a little painting corner, and now they all use it a lot. I kind of want to move the door back but the painting corner makes me want to keep it how it is. It's something that I have to look into. They definitely need some paintings up on the wall here.

Living Room

I love this room so much! I've added a little fish here and that is pretty much the only thing that has changed in this room. However, right after I took this picture we had a party and someone was playing in the fireplace which caused the rug to catch on fire. So the rug is gone and I've redone the living room to the tiny living stuff. Not much changed other than the rug and couch.

Updated Living Room

Here is a picture of the updated living room. I would've gotten the same rug but I think the orange helps brighten up the living room, which was really needed it. It looks really pretty and I wish the little poof things were chairs instead of just decoration.

Ever since I started playing this game I've been obsessed with getting the collections completed and my favorite collection is always these dolls. I think their so pretty and really bring back MySims days. So whenever I get the opportunity to showcase them in a house I do them.

Downstairs Bathroom

That's right the house now has two bathrooms in it! I love the yellow and blue! I never thought much about yellow because it is one of my least liked colors but the color really breaks up all of the blues that are downstairs but at the same time the blue accents bring in the rest of the downstairs. I was in the middle of changing it when I decided I missed the yellow and put it all back together.

Basement

After we moved Aubrey in Dina lost her workout room. I knew down the line we were going to need more space in the house to create a couple more bedrooms or a skills room or something so I went ahead and made a basement for the house. Right now it is just a large open space with some workout equipment over in the corner. I want to add some mirrors, a bedroom, and possibly another bathroom. It just depends on how far this family goes. But for right now it works for what Dina needs and I've been finding Mickey down here a lot too.

The Workout Equipment

Aubrey's Bedroom

Here was baby Aubrey's bedroom. I really thought about keeping her in here and letting her just keep this as her bedroom. However, I thought this would be the best bedroom for their babies as they are born since this is right beside Dina and Mickey. Plus the room that Aubrey moved into is bigger than this room and it has more kid stuff. I plan on her growing into the room so it will age up with her instead of her moving anywhere else.

Just like the doll collection that we have going we also have the snowglobes and posters from the city. I would like each generation to complete at least one collection but it isn't a requirement. It is just something that we look for while we go to the festivals in the city.

Mickey and Dina's Bedroom

Mickey and Dina's bedroom really hasn't changed at all. I've only added a baby bassinet thing in front of the window and the awards they got for their wedding and date. The big pedestal of flowers are in this back corner so you can't really see them here.

Upstairs Bathroom

The upstairs bathroom was like this and it is one of my favorite pre-made bathrooms that you can get in build mode. But again I wanted to incorporate the new tiny living room pack as much as I can so I went back through and redid this room.

Updated Upstairs Bathroom

The only two things that I think I would change about this room is turning that hangy shelf thing to black so it will pop on that white wall and adding another blue rug. Blue is definitely my favorite color in this house.

Girls Room

Here is the girl's bedroom and I was never really happy with how this room was. I've gone back and rearranged the bedroom to make it look more lived in for Aubrey and it looks a lot better than it did here.

Aubrey's Updated Bedroom
Another Angle of Aubrey's Room

I want to add more hangy lights on the stone wall in their bedroom. It is pretty. I was so aggravated that I couldn't get them in that corner but it kept glitching the lights up above the room whenever I tried to put them in that corner. I replaced the walls with plain pink instead of with the white trim. But just like downstairs I'm not happy with the windows. Maybe after we have some money saved up I'm going to delete all of them and replace them with some other windows that will line up how I want them too. But overall I'm loving the house itself. I miss the funky shape it had but the family's getting bigger so they need a bigger house. I'm not sure how many generations that I'm going to have living here but I know for this one and the next one they will be staying in this house. This next generation is going to have 3 stories going so I know two of the three will definitely move out but I think I know which one is going to stay here and continue living in the house. But as of now, that child isn't going to have any kids. So I'm not sure what is going to happen to this house after that sim dies. But we have a lot of time between here and there.

Gen 1: Aubrey's Birthday

I just realized that I'm just going too fast with the drafts and not doing so well on putting out the content. I should've had a lot more info in baby Aubrey's post than I did. This is definitely a learning curve for me because I'm used to making a draft on my book blog and looking at the same post multiple times before it is ever released and my content over there isn't as fast to get since I'm not a fast reader. Versus over here I can play for a day and have so much content to use that it just overwhelms me. There are so many pictures I planned on using to help tell the story that was really bypassed since I was so overwhelmed. I'm going to work better at doing them together versus working on the game than working over here, which is what I originally planned. But we got off on the wrong foot because I didn't have power one day and just had so many pictures coming in. At the same time, I want to post them all over on Instagram but can't because the story hasn't gone up yet. So let's jump into it.

I love Aubrey and Mickey's relationship! Mickey has no biological relationship with Aubrey but he treats her like she is his own child! That's how anyone should treat a child when they are dating a woman or a man with a child. Then to add the fact that Audrey is Dina's sister and she too acts like she is her own child is remarkable. I love that they took her in and took care of her! They are amazing people and I'm so attached to these three. The reason all of this came up was because when I opened the game Mickey and Audrey were playing and it was so cute!

Whenever I go into the game someone is always playing with Audrey whether it is Mickey, Dina, or Pluto. This child is never alone unless she wants to be. She is a very independent baby too so she will go off on her own sometimes too. But even then they all love going up to check on her and just watch her play. It's so cute! They always try to read her to bed too. The first skill she maxed out was the socialization skill! I'm so used to sims always maxing out their mobile skills way before anything else but she took a long time to max that out. I wanted her to max out all her skills before she aged up and she really did a lot of it on her own.

Mickey Reading Audrey to Sleep

I really wanted Audrey to have a birthday that was just focused on her and to happen before Dina had her baby so the very next day Dina was off and Mickey had just finished a job so they planned out a birthday party for her. They invited so many different people this time instead of just family like they did for their wedding. My goal was Dina to meet some more people because she only knows like four people and three of them are her family members.

Pregnant Dina

Most of the Guests

With Nina in the picture above, you really see where the Slice of Life mod is really showing because her face has acne all over it right now. I really love the realism that this mod adds to the game. Mickey and Supriya are still really close friends and she still comes over all the time. I really wanted to invite Luna because they still have a strong friendship but I didn't think Dina would appreciate it and I didn't want them to accidentally flirt to make Dina upset. They haven't had this issue and Luna hasn't been around either so I just let that stay how it is. I invited Katrina but I really didn't see her and now looking back I don't see her in any of the pictures either, but I know she was invited because I made sure to click on her and Nina first.

Soon after the games were done the cake was finally finished and Dina helped Audrey blow out her candles! This was so cute!

Walking over to the Cake

Audrey Blowing out the Candles

While Audrey was a toddler I thought she looked just like J Huntington III. But since we aged her up into a child she looks just like Katrina now. I think it is really the nose is Katrina but the eyes are totally J.

Gen 1: Mickey's Hearing Wedding Bells

Not long after Spooky Day Mickey and Dina got married! They are both the type of people that would appreciate a smaller wedding, something where they can be surrounded by their family. The only three people invited were Nina, Katrina, and Aubrey. Aubrey was so cute the whole entire time. To be honest the beginning of the wedding was annoying and chaotic. I got really close to just giving up on the wedding and just eloping there in the park. But they were able to work it out and make it happen and I am so glad that it did! When they first arrived at the park there wasn't a gazebo or anything. I was trying to get them to the park in San Myshuno but I'm not entirely sure which park we ended up at but it wasn't that one. So I quickly built a little gazebo area over by the pond. It wasn't the prettiest but it worked for what we all needed. Once I had the arch and everything I couldn't get them to carry Aubrey over to it. Dina was holding her but then she put her down to walk over. Then Mickey kept doing the same thing but it would've taken her forever to walk over to where the gazebo was.

Since it took so long to get everyone over to where the arch was I decided they were just going to get married in whatever dress that the Sims gods decided was good enough. The whole entire time they were doing the vows and everything little miss Aubrey was stealing the show. If you can't tell that I'm in love Aubrey just as much as these four are then you are definitely missing something. This blog and Instagram have really gotten me to fall in love with my game again and it has been so much fun.

Another thing that hasn't been mentioned yet was how much these three all look at each other throughout the whole ceremony. It was like they were all so happy that this wedding was happening and it was making them all so happy! I was just so in love with this ceremony so much and it was so simple.

Even during the ceremony, these three did it together!

Little Aubrey is like it's about time!

Once the ceremony was over the party started. These three started having a blast. Miss Aubrey started playing on her tablet while the others started drinking and eating cake.

Should I drink both of these?

Yes, yes I should!

Mickey talking to his in-laws

While they were all talking all I could think about was how they look like a huge family. They all fit together. They all have the same red hair and it was soo cute to see them all together.

Aubrey and the random sim are the only two paying attention to these two lovebirds!
As the wedding was finally ending Dina was all of a sudden not feel well. She ran to the bathroom and while she was puking. She had no clue what was happening. Then all of the sudden fireworks started going off. The new Mrs. Dina Disney was pregnant with her first biological child. Is the baby going to be a girl or boy? How does she handle pregnancy? What will Mickey think about this new revelation? Most importantly how will Miss Aubrey handle another baby in the house?
