Building Neverland

Since our little Wendy is about to age up it's time to start her story, which means I need to build our Neverland! I think it would be best for it to be in Sulani since that is the world that looks most like Neverland in every depiction that I've seen. Since I suck at building and making Sims the gallery is my best friend! I'm going to try to link everything I've used in the gallery so you only have to click on it to see it. I'm also going to make outfit collages since I have had to change some to fit my story. Most of the buildings I downloaded work amazing, really wait until you see Peter and the Lost Boys house! Their house is the only one that I really renovated any. I really wanted the house to fit them so I added a basement so Tink could have her own little space. The only household that I've added so far that I don't like is Tiger Lily. She is essential for my story that I have planned but there wasn't really any Tiger Lily households or houses on the gallery so I did take her out of the same pack that made our Peter (he's freaking hot!) and I just moved her into a starter home for right now. I really spent the whole day creating our Neverland between finding the lots, the people, and then getting all of their relationships to the right positions. I'm also debating on whether or not to get the shadow of our Peter. The creator made a ghost for him to be his shadow and the more I think about it the more I think it would be interesting to add-in.

Tiger Lily

Since she is my least liked at the moment let's start with Tiger Lily. Overall I love the sim I have for her. The creator of her and our Peter is amazing! I even ended up following him/her! The real thing that I don't like about my Tiger Lily is her living situation. I really wanted to stay true to their living situations in the movie that is why Captain Hook and Smee live on a pirate ship! But even when I search for Native Americans, Indians, and even teepees nothing really comes up that is similar to what I'm looking for. The gallery isn't really search-friendly unless it is something popular you are looking for, at least for me. I asked for some guidance in some of the groups I'm involved with just to see what they can find, or maybe even create for me. We'll see what comes out but for now, she is living in a starter home in Sulani. Another thing that really aggravates me is that she either comes with the Peter Pan crew, which I broke up to stay more true to who they are, or another version I really liked came with Pocahontas. I really almost got the version that comes with Pocahontas because the creator did such an amazing job, I'm going to tag a picture of it below because I love it! I might even use it at least for Meeko when we get to our Pocahontas. I was really hoping to find her father, the chief, at least. Now there are a lot of Native Americans, and Indians that I could substitute for her father and I might do that after I find a permanent house for her but where she is in a starter home and my game is letting her live on her own as a teen we are just going to roll with it for now. Below is a picture of the household that I downloaded from the gallery, the creator is called Izolde10 and I put the link to the same family on the gallery on the picture. You should be able to click on the picture and it will take you to the family. I believe this is the same Peter Pan that I'll mention below. As you can tell from above I really tried to ensure that I stayed true to the Tiger Lily here. Some of her outfits didn't transfer over so I had to redo some and I also added a couple so we can see her in a few different ones. This Peter Pan family is what gave me the idea for the 'shadow.'

Update

I was able to find a really cool place for Tiger Lily to live, and I also added a little family for her too so she isn't living on her own. She is still living in Sulani, and it actually works out really cool because now she is beside the Lost Boys. She was living right beside Hook and it was just weird, I'll also try to add a screenshot of how our 'Neverland' looks. Our mini-village for Tiger Lily was created by Shaleena23, and it has 4 bedrooms. Basically, every small teepee is a small little bedroom. So I moved in chief, his wife, and a little sister for Tiger Lily to live with. I also downloaded them from the gallery, and their creator was Julchens77. The only thing I changed out of all this is their family ties so that they see Tiger Lily as their daughter/sister.

Captain Hook and Smee

Aspiration: Public Enemy, Traits: Hot-Headed, Mean, & Hates Children

As soon as I saw this Captain Hook in the gallery I knew I needed him! I mean just look at all of the details and how amazing he looks. I did change a couple outfits, such as his sleepwear but overall I led him exactly the same. I really didn't need to do anything for him.

I don't think I changed a single thing for Smee, other than one of his traits. I really had a hard time picking out his traits. I wasn't sure what he should have, and one of his previous traits I didn't really like it. So this is what we ended up with.

Just like above, I added the links to both of the creators for each of the sims that I used to create this household. Smee I think will be fine, I don't think he is as perfect as Hook came out but I really do love him. I think it will really complement one another. Captain Hook was made by ElocineCinQuatre, who makes some really amazing sims and I'm truly in awe of their work! I instantly started following them. Mr. Smee was created by alisha_sims, he is actually apart of a big Peter Pan pack and if I was only playing Peter Pan this would probably be the one I would download because I really love how the Darling kids look like in this. It really has everything in it except for the Lost Boys and Tiger Lily.

Captain Hook and Smee also have a home. I really haven't looked into the ship really closely. I know it only has one bed, and I might go back in and add another bed somewhere for Smee. This is really the most perfect Jolly Roger and it fits in with the whole Neverland theme, the only thing that could make it even better is if it was really floating out in the ocean, but since this is Sims they need a way to get onto the ship. I found this beauty on Brendawayside's gallery page, but when I pull it up on the computer it still comes up under that one but it also says it was originally created by Fritosaurio. I'm not sure who really created it, I think Brendawayside may have redecorated it, but I wanted to make sure I mentioned both names since I found it on Brendawayside, and that is where the link will take you too. I'm so glad I was looking at this too because she/he also has a camp for Tiger Lilly! I'm so excited I can't wait to go back into the game to see if I like it. I hope it works. There is also a lot of really cool lots that are all Peter Pan listed, such as Mermaid Cove, Skull Rock, and the Lost Boy's Hideout.

For the Lost Boys, I did some research for them because I really didn't want to just name them Tootles, Nibs, and so on. This is where the beautiful Lost Boys Wiki came into really great help! It pulled in information such as their names in the books! I wanted to keep movie names in their names still so in the game I named their names along with their nicknames, such as James Slightly LB. I made sure all of their last names were their nicknames along with LB for Lost Boys. Anyways I got them all from the same creator! I love it when it's that easy. Now I did do a lot of changes to them. First off in the original all have bear outfits as the second Everyday outfits, except for the toddlers. The only one that I let keep the bear outfit is Cubby since he was the actual bear in the Peter Pan. I swapped Nibs and Slightly too since I really thought Slightly should be the blonde one since he was the fox. I then aged the twins up into children since I really didn't want to deal with any toddlers. Peter Pan is actually a teen in the game already, and Tinker Bell is the only young adult in the house. I thought about aging Slightly up into a teen too since he is the oldest Lost Boy but for now, he is still a child. Other than I really tried to keep them true to their original copies, along with staying true to their characters. Since they all had second outfits I tried to use the colors of the animals to find the second outfits, such as Slightly wearing reds/oranges for his fox outfit and Tootles wearing black and white for skunks.

Tinker Bell

Aspiration: Freelance Botanist, Traits: Jealous, Clumsy, & Handy

Tink I think was one of the hardest to pick because there were just so many different choices! I really didn't know which one to go with. With Tiger Lily and the Lost Boys, there weren't really that many choices so I had to either pick or make my own, which even though it took longer for me to do ultimately made it very easy. Tink on the other hand have soooo many choices! I literally scrolled for forever looking at a million different ones trying to figure out which one would work best for me, and still, I don't know if it was the right one. Her eyes kind of creep me out a little bit but she did have really big eyes so it'll be okay. I did change her outfit to the custom content that I had for Tinker Bell. I downloaded it as soon as I knew I was going to have Tink in the game. The outfit looks really cool and for now, that is literally the only outfit she has for every occasion. I'll eventually get tired of seeing it and might give her some variation but this dress comes with the wings so if I change it she will lose the wings. One of the other versions that I found while looking for Tiger Lily was a modern Tinker Bell who had tattoos of wings on her back! I thought that was so cool and when I get tired of her same outfits I think that is what I'll do for her I think it would be the perfect compromise. The person that created the Tinker Bell I went with is called jja5662, when I saw this picture I really couldn't pass her up I really do love her face and her overall look. I honestly forgot I had the CC until I saw the shoes.

Here is the CC dress that I used for Tinker Bell. The dress comes with the shoes and like I mentioned the dress and wings are one outfit. It does come in three colors so you can get some variations. I really love the detail that went into this outfit. A cool little fact about it is the fact that the wings are kind of translucent and change color in the light, at least it does in my opinion. Here's a picture where they kind of look pink, it is really faint.

Peter Pan

Aspiration: Serial Romantic, Traits: Cheerful & Childish

Okay, finally we are at the main character of this saga, Peter Pan! As soon as I saw this Peter Pan I couldn't look at any other Sim. He is just so beautiful and we just had to have him for our story! I promise! Like just look at him! I only really had to change his warm and cold weather clothes to match his green theme. He is a teen, I plan on him staying a teen for pretty much ever. I don't know if he will ever age up, and I don't have much planned for the Lost Boys after our story because I've seen where they stay with Peter and also where they go home to grow up.

Okay, it's time to reveal this amazing creation that I've found. This thing is beyond crazy and just so freaking perfect! It's the Lost Boy's treehouse! This creator is such a genius and I just love it so much! The fact that they have so much packed into it was so crazy! I'm completely obsessed with it. I don't trust myself to renovate anything on the tree itself because one it's so freaking hard to see between the tree itself it is just so leafy. I ended up putting it on a bigger lot then it needed, I think a 30x40, and the tree is actually only 20x20. So what I did was make an extension and a basement. I'm a sucker with making basements and this build was no different. I just wanted to give Tinker Bell her own room since she is living with a bunch of boys and a full kitchen since the only I found only had a fridge on it. This is fine I was able to build more into the basement. Another cool feature I was able to add to the basement is the pond windows, I love seeing a basement connected to the pond/pool because I just think it is a fun addition for windows. So first off here is the OG treehouse, along with the link to (Creator's) who created it. I told you this thing is AMAZING!

Our Tinker Bell's Bedroom

For Tinker Bell and Peter Pan's rooms I really drew a lot of inspiration from two rooms that I found in the gallery. I didn't just copy and add it to the basement because I really like the funky rooms that I have going down here since it is kind of matching the funky shape of the pond. I really thought about making the pond a bit bigger since it is also the pool but where it is really funky shaped and the foliage around it really made it complicated so I just left it alone. For Tinker Bell's room, the creator is called Buddaguitarz, they have a bunch of Tinker Bell inspired rooms and I also used it for inspiration for the kitchen, both of which is very loosely based off of them since I don't think they look anything alike. They make a ton of rooms and I'm in love with all of them. This is one of the things that I really truly love about building because I come across some really cool stuff like this and now I have some new cool creators to follow.

Peter's room is a heck of a lot bigger than what I have for him and I honestly really love how this one looks so much more than what we have. It looks so pretty and I honestly didn't give it much justice. I think it works overall but mine is definitely way bare and needs something I'm just not sure. The creator for the room is dfell3

Another really cool thing that I came across was the artwork. I really love these little details that add to this to help tie it to who it is supposed to be for. I suck at the clutter that's why I need to get some inspiration from like the bedrooms above. I like to clutter houses up with the sims stuff and this type of artwork really helps add some personalization to it.

Since I kind of redid all of Sulani I wanted to add a picture of our Neverland! I'm going to post this picture again when we start the story in the next couple of days so don't be too surprised if you see this picture a couple of times. I think it looks really could because you can see the Jolly Roger in 'Mermaid Lagoon.' Then Peter and the boys are a little way away from Hook and Smee over by the volcanoes. Then the spot right beside Peter Pan's treehouse is Tiger Lily's home. It came out really cool I'm debating on whether or not to add skill rock, but I would have to get rid of the restaurant that I really love to use for dates so we'll see if we do it or not. I do have one piece of land that I had a house and maneuvered it around for what I thought would be Tiger Lily's home, but then I found the one we got so we got rid of it. So I do have some more room to redo a little more here to really help create more of the Neverland feel, and the only house that I really need to keep is the one across from Hook because that is actually Steve's friend's house. But other than that all of this does have potential to change.
