A Pregnancy!?!

Since this is a really big story I decided to do a weekend of posts so there will be a post Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all at 12:00 pm eastern! 

Well, we always knew Maleficent was going to make our lives interesting! I've had a little bit of concern when this happened and I wasn't sure how I felt about it but ultimately if she makes it to delivery I think she's going to keep it. I do have LilMissSam's miscarriage mod in my game that's why I said if she makes it to delivery. If you haven't caught on to what I'm talking about yet Maleficent is pregnant! She is still a teen, almost an adult, and she is still with Morgyn Ember, who is older than her.  This is Morgyn's baby. I know the game has him as female to male and I love that so even though this is his baby I wanted it more so for that familiar connection so that is why I turned it on. In my head, I thought they would plan to have a kid and then they would do surrogacy or something but since the game decided we were destined to have a baby Ember we are just going to roll with it. Plus I've never had a teen pregnancy in Sims so it's going to be interesting. She got pregnant because I had her in his household so, therefore, we had didn't have that extra layer of too many household members. Morgyn and Maleficent went on a date to the Romance festival and one thing led to another and they ended up spending the night together at his house. The next morning she was so sick, and just thought it was because of the questionable food she ate at the festival! To be fair she really did get food poisoning at the festival which is why they left early from there. But this was different! Maleficent found out she was actually pregnant! She was utterly stunned and not sure what to do! Should she tell Morgyn? Should she keep the baby? What are her parents going to say!? They just got to a good place where they could trust one another again! Maleficent knew she didn't want to keep secrets from them but at the same time how can she tell them this!? Instead of going to school Maleficent ended up staying at Morgyn's house so she could tell him the big news and together they could figure out a plan. Together they decided that the first step they were going to have to do was tell Dina and Mickey. Since he met them in the Magic Realm he started to see why the family was so important to Maleficent and he wanted it to stay that way and the only way to do that is to be truthful with them. There was no way they could keep this a secret and the only good outcome could come from telling her parents as soon as possible.

The happy couple ended up at Morgyn's house where they started taking pictures on the porch! They are adorable!

She became really worried about what was her parents going to think!? We have never had to deal with anything like this before and everyone thought they were finally in a good place since Maleficent's spellcasting secret came out. Morgyn and Maleficent ended up going over to the Disney house as soon as they found out she was pregnant to tell her parents. At first, the family was too busy dealing with the tragedy that had just happened. Pluto passed away right before Maleficent went to the festival, which is another reason why she really needed to see Morgyn and have some fun. But once everything settled down Maleficent pulled Mickey to the side to tell him her secret. I tried really hard to do the 'Share the News' interaction but I guess where Maleficent was a teen she couldn't do it so we just shared a secret with him. It was until Dina found out that it all really registered with everyone that Maleficent was pregnant. In the game, Dina got really mad at Maleficent which led Mickey to get upset with her too! Since they were so mad Maleficent ran away to Morgyn's house for the remainder of her pregnancy. As soon as she arrived the two came up with a plan. Maleficent was adamant about finding a job as soon as possible and started working a retail job after school. Morgyn told her she should just live there so he can help with the baby. But if she was going to live there full-time she needed to concentrate on school. Morgyn works as a conservationist and has enough money coming in to take care of all three of them, but Maleficent was adamant about working and paying for her and the baby no matter what. 

Steve and Morgyn have become really close friends they started talking as soon as Maleficent and Morgyn arrived at the house.

Mickey finally decides that he needs to get in on the conversation since she is his daughter too! 

Even though Maleficent and Morgyn haven't had the greatest relationship they are finally in a good place and even though a baby will add pressure to their relationship they really want this baby! They both assumed that they would never have kids and if they did it would have to be through adoption so this is truly Morgyn's miracle baby! So as the two adjusted to the idea of becoming parents they also had to learn how to live together. Occasionally Maleficent would sneak over to spend a night here or there with him but that was super rare and usually only for a night or two. This is completely different! But regardless they are both thrilled for this new terrifying adventure!

Although Maleficent is considered a teen and this is considered a teen pregnancy in my eyes Maleficent is like between the ages of 17 and 19 years old. She has been a teen for a really long time and was really about to age up into a young adult when she got pregnant. Although this wasn't the path I had planned for her I think it works well into her story.

Heartbreak in the Disney House

We finally had our first death in the story and I honestly haven't been able to play in a couple days because of it! We aged Pluto up not too long ago, but frankly, this was way past time and really needed to happen. Well, we into the game today, and Maleficent just got back home and got a notification that someone was dying in our house! It turns out it was Pluto! He passed from old age and it was so sad.

The whole family was there and everyone was crying. Mickey refused to leave Pluto and was there the longest crying. We even made a graveyard since we have some sims that will be passing away soon so I went ahead and made that. For now, I think The graveyard will be in the back of the house, when it gets too big we will make one with its own lot, but that should be awhile. I should be getting back into the game soon, but I needed to walk away for a little while because of it. It is going to be so weird going back to the Disney house without Pluto. I just don't know what it is going to be like now. Pluto was just always around and everyone loved him so much! I hardly ever play a game this long so the fact that I have is incredible! I'm just so in love with this family. 

Pluto always played a huge part in the Disney household and even more so when the kids were growing up and didn't need Mickey and Dina as much.

Surprise Announcement!

Since our story for today is honestly really sad and really unplanned I'm going to add two extra posts to the weekend and we can do a weekend-long post. Every day from July 31, 2020, to August 3, 2020, I'll be having a blog post at noon like normal. I'm only really adding two bonus posts but there is a lot going on in these 4 posts to help with the heartbreak that is about to come in the next half an hour! I love these characters so much and when the Sims actually works with my story and throws me curveballs I love it which is another reason why we have so much content coming out over the weekend. The things that happen were just so long that it broke down into three separate parts and then the fourth part will be checking in on our resident lothario Adam! If you've been on my Plum Tree lately you may have had a little spoiler as to what I'm talking about! If you don't want the spoiler then just hold off until Sunday to look at it. Adam's story isn't messing with our family tree. We did not have another wedding but there are birthdays, deaths, babies, and lots of Adam's craziness. So let's start with the heartbreak, which is the first story coming out today as normally scheduled. This honestly can be seen in the next few posts but isn't really touched on so it had to be the first story coming out. 

A Couple More Things

Two more things that I wanted to announce since I'm already doing a little announcement post. 1. I did start a new job a couple weeks ago so as of right now I'm not thinking about changing the publishing schedule yet. I think I can keep up with doing three posts a week like I'm doing now. But when school starts and if I start to get overwhelmed I think we may turn Friday into an occasional post and not every week one. If I do that I will definitely give you all a heads up for that. But my goal is to continue as normal. 2. I may have been going really overboard with the Instagram posts and I'm sorry if they have been really overwhelming. I'm trying really hard to get them caught up in our story. Ideally, I want the pictures and the story to coincide with one another instead of one being the way, way ahead of each other. So as soon as they get caught up I promise I won't post as much UNLESS if you prefer a lot of content coming at you like it is right now, just caught up with the story. Just let me know because it is definitely doable. I don't have a set schedule for Instagram they just come out whenever I remember to post them and I try to leave at least an hour between posts. Another thing you may have noticed is that I'm trying to get my Instagram to be more cohesive so we now have these little bubbles/stories at the top of my profile and there you will be able to see generation goals, main characters, side characters, plumtree information, and I'm thinking about adding a family tree to the plum tree tab, just a lot of fun little information that can get lost among all of the posts to help new people get caught up with the story since we have officially hit over 300 posts. If there are any other things you would like for me to do or do differently please let me know! I'm going to try to get my blog to match the same colors that I use on my Instagram so it will look like it all goes together. 

As you saw I updated the blog's look too. I never liked the original one's look I felt like it didn't represent my content or even me so I've always been wanting to update it but I've really been more concerned about getting content out instead of the look. However, I had enough of it and really wanted it to represent both my Simstagram and the family tree page. On my Instagram, I don't have a set aesthetic to it but the bubbles/stories do and they all start with the same title page and format so I wanted that to be represented on my page for sure and we really get that from the header with all the bright colors and how it looks. Then for the background, I really had a lot of issues with it mostly because I could not figure out how to get a single picture there. Well, I finally got it figured out, and even then I ended up changing it a couple times. I'm really happy with how it looks and feels like it is a little bit easier to navigate and read. If you all need me to change something or have any suggestions let me know and I'll work on it, but for now, this is what I got. I also realized that the comment section wasn't working properly so hopefully now it will allow people with and without accounts to comment on it all. 

We Have Elders!

Well, we did it. We finally have elders in our game that we are actually playing instead of just having NPC elders, and I'm still adjusting to it. I hardly ever play a family this long so I'm so proud of myself for getting to this milestone, and I have all of you to thank for that! I also want to say thank you because we just hit 150 followers on our Instagram! Anyways we have a lot of elders now. I knew when I went into the game today that my goal was to build Maleficent's house and to age up Dina and Mickey! But in order to age up our favorite couple, I needed to also age up to their friends. J, Sage, and even Nina have been around since the game started and pretty much just let them play their own lives. Sage has actually aged up into an elder already but I bumped her back down to an adult because I wasn't ready for that just yet. Sage and Mickey in my mind are the same age and a couple years older than Dina and J but wanted to age them all up at the same time. As for the Caliente sisters, I couldn't remember who was older between Nina and Dina. I know Nina has taken her time and had children way later in life than Dina did. For most of their relationship, we didn't see because Dina and Nina were already young adults by the time that Mickey and Dina met. They had a really close relationship and we lost it a little bit when Dina and Katrina were fighting, but in the most recent years, they are super close again. So I went ahead and aged Nina and her husband up too. Since we were having such a massive aging going on I aged most of them up in cas, but we had a big double birthday for Mickey and Dina. So let's first start with everyone that I aged up in cas.

As you can see from the pictures above I also aged up some of our kiddos. Most you have never really seen before. Jodi we have seen from time to time as a toddler, she was the baby on the slide at the Huntington House and is J and Sage's youngest child, but we haven't really had many interactions with her since Aubrey has gotten married pretty early. We have also seen Moriah some, who is Nina's oldest child. I kind of aged her up a little earlier than she was supposed too but I wanted a teen in the house in case Nina and her husband just passed away. I don't normally keep them in my play filed so that they can just do their own thing, also I use them and the Huntington's as markers for when I need to age my own crew up. Spoiler: Sage has actually aged up once already but I wasn't ready to do all of this so I aged her back down into an adult that's why I say she's older than J. Anyways I didn't want the kids to be taken and we never see them again in either house but in the Huntington's house we already have Kassandra so I went ahead and aged up Moriah. 

The last that we saw of Nina's kids were when there were only two girls, I don't think the son was born yet, and Aubrey and Dina went to visit them at their house. This was the first time Dina has ever met the youngest and we didn't get to see Moriah since the wedding. Literally right after we left I got the notification that she was pregnant again, and we just haven't had the time or a story to fit them all in.  So I've just left them in played sims for a little bit so no one ages up anymore, has anymore kids, or dies on us. But now that he's a kid maybe he and Wendy can hang out. Wendy doesn't have many friends and I think it would be fun to have a little playdate with all of the kids in the game which would be Sage's youngest two and Nina's youngest two with Wendy. Since we are already on this train I also think we should have all the teens hang out too. I just think Sage and Moriah will really hit it off. We might have a side story soon featuring both of these. 

Before I show you our old couple I wanted to tell you why it was so important for me to age them up right now. I have a bunch of different stories in the works right now between all four kids. Two of those stories really involve Mickey, Dina, and Pluto. Since these are our three originals it was just time for them to age up. We just aged Pluto up a few posts ago and he has never had a birthday the whole entire time we played. I think looking back I should've started him as a puppy but oh well. I don't plan on them all dying instantly. I actually would love for them to meet a grandkid or two, but this is where it is kind of getting a little tricky for me. One Pluto's a dog and he has never aged up in my game until recently so his death might be a little more immediate than Mickey and Dina. I hate thinking about this but logically he wouldn't still be alive if this is real life or he would be a super old dog, I mean he has spanned over Mickey and Dina meeting, Aubrey's whole life, Maleifcent and the twins' lives, and even Wendy being born as an adult doggy! That is a lot of years!

Maleficent's story progression really doesn't intertwine with Mickey and Dina's at the moment since we just finished the big story arc that I had for them, I don't have any planned for them right now same for Maleficent herself. The only thing I have planned for her next is aging up and I'm not sure when we are doing that just yet. This is kind of the same for Steve, Mickey and Dina are really important to him and he loves them but I haven't figure out a way to work in a story with just the three of them right now. Steve is more in the bubble working on friendships with Brittany and Leo. Both of these two stories at the moment are really focused around them and their futures moving forward at the moment, that doesn't mean that something might happen that changes my story I have for them at the moment that could potentially involve Dina or Mickey but for right now I don't have anything in the works for them right now. 

Now as for Wendy and Adam I have a plan where both of the parents play really big roles in their stories, especially coming up. Since Wendy is the youngest child I was just thinking that she and her parents get into a big fight which causes her to run away to Neverland, but now I'm thinking that it might need to be something bigger than that. Wendy is just such a happy kid and really hasn't had anything big or traumatic happen to her, so far the biggest thing that has ever happened to Wendy is meeting Peter's shadow. I just don't want to kill either parent off to be that pushing factor. But at the same time grief is a really hard thing to deal with and I could see that pushing her away I just don't know if an argument will have that same impact. In the movies, Wendy was threatened with being moved out of her bedroom with her brothers so the thrill of adventure is what really pushed her to go with him. So I mean I can see it, I just never see this family argue with anyone or be strict like that. But we did just have something like that happen with Maleficent and she didn't run away she just abided her parents' rules. I just always knew that they would be elders while Wendy was a child because they had her really late in life and she wasn't planned. So I went ahead and aged them up. 

I just don't know yet. I plan on Mickey and Dina being elders for a while. As for Adam, we haven't seen a whole lot of him yet just because there really hasn't been much we can do with him right now. We find some potential Belles but that's really been it for him. I even have a really hard time thinking of stories to write for him right now because the only thing he has is to be a spoiled brat and to do whatever his whims are. I might do a short post where we just follow him around for a week just to see what I've been doing with him, which hasn't been all that fun. But his story I think is going to start pretty much at the same time as Wendy's story because I've been talking to some really cool sim builders who make these extraordinary builds in the Sims. Right now one of them is working on a home that I plan for Adam to kind of steal/buy it for himself as a really big spoiled kid moment. I think I have the story really worked out in my head for how he comes into this new home, but as for Wendy, I'm going to play it by ear because I have a lot of different ideas for her. But long story short it was just time to age Dina and Mickey up.

So let's look at this laid back birthday that they had. The kids sort of surprised them with a birthday party where all of the kids and their friends were there! It was out of the blue and neither Mickey nor Dina really expected this but they were so incredibly surprised by it. However, Dina being our perfect little perfectionist/chef just had to make her and Mickey's own birthday cakes! She just could not help herself and wouldn't let anyone else cook it for them!

While everyone was having a party, talking, and just having a lot of fun our old pup just had to take a nap. I love how Pluto just passed out like this! It was so cute and really reminded me of my real-life doggo.

Although the cakes were set up right beside each other and so were our birthday sims, Mickey ended up aging up first! Dina got sidetracked by Sage and the two ladies couldn't stop catching up with one another! 

As for both of their outfits, I really didn't change much. Over the years Mickey and Dina have already started picking up more comfy clothes versus stylish ones. There were a couple for Dina that I really changed completely, but for the most part I only really changed their hair and makeup. Here are their outfit collages! 

Once the pair was finally done aging up Dina just had to take pictures with everyone! Since Sage was right there she snapped a selfie with her first! These two ladies look so great! I can't believe how tiny Sage stayed. She's always been such a bean pole! Dina on the other hand stayed super muscular. Working out has definitely been one of Dina's go-to things! 

Mickey and Dina definitely have had one of the best relationships I've ever seen in the game! They had their fair share of rough patches but they always managed to work it out in the end. I think they look even better together now than they ever had! I just think they just know how to make the other one laugh which really has been the glue in this whole family! Aren't they some really adorable sims!

Next up Dina grabbed Aubrey real fast to take a picture together. I swear Dina was just in the picture taking mood because she got one with just about everyone that was there! 

While we waited for Nina to get there I was able to get some pretty cook pictures of some unexpected sims! Like Mickey who was just so happy he couldn't stop smiling! He is literally one of the happiest sims ever who just gets along with everyone! I don't think I've ever seen him mad at anything before. He's just so laid back. In the background, you can see Steve doing dishes, Travis Scott, and Dina. Mickey had to invite Travis. They got pretty close while he was married to Katrina and in my game, Katrina Scott, formerly Caliente, has already passed away. We didn't get to see too much of Travis in the game but he was always a nice guy who just didn't know the full story about what was going on. So no one sees him as the bad guy and have a pretty good relationship with him. 

Next up we got a really nice candid shot of Mr. Adam. I don't know what I was thinking when I gave him this outfit. At the time I really didn't have many 'snobby' clothes but now that I have a lot of it in my game I'm going to need to update his wardrobe soon. I just think he would be wearing all the really expensive stuff, especially name brands. Don't get me wrong I have hardly no male CC when comparing it to the girls' stuff but I have been able to find some of it here and there. 

Nina finally made it so Dina made sure she got a picture with her sister before she could disappear on her again!

As soon as Nina and Dina were done taking pictures Nina made Wendy sit with her so they could catch up. Even though Nina wasn't around a whole lot she always made sure that her nieces and nephews knew who she was and how much she cared about them. 

We even had a little daddy/daughter photoshoot right after the official party ended! It was so cute and we don't really get much of these kinds of pictures. 

Sidenote: I just did w a HUGE poses CC binge and now I have a lot of poses, I didn't really find exactly what I was looking for so I'll be doing another one soon.

After Mickey and Wendy were done taking pictures I thought it would be nice to do the same thing but with Mickey and Dina! It would be so cute and something that everyone needed! I need to learn how to make some of these pictures into the sims frames so I can hang them up around the house because they would be so freaking cute! 

Mickey and Dina aren't the only two elders in our household so I made sure to get Pluto in on this little photoshoot! It was so adorable, here are the results of those pictures. 

You can really see just how much these two love each other in all of these pictures and just how much Pluto means to them. We might not get to see a lot of Pluto, mostly because I can't control him so he just does his own thing. But he is always around and is close to all of the Disneys. He was Mickey's first baby and even helped him find Dina. In the beginning, we kept saying that whoever Pluto picked would be the girl for Mickey and he definitely had something when he found Dina. I thought it was just perfect to get some shots of the family that started everything just like this! I just adore this family so much!

Just because he is an elder now doesn't mean Mickey doesn't still get it! As soon as he and Dina were done taking pictures he came right inside and just started dancing the rest of the night away!
