It's Time to Release the Toddlers!

I have been dying to have a toddler playdate since Maleficent had Judith! I knew we were going to have some more toddlers coming from somewhere I just wasn't sure if I wanted Aubrey to have kids since she isn't part of the main story. But I've come to the conclusion that in order to keep my game fun for me and not have to stress over getting goals completed every day I needed a branch of the family where  I can just play the game however I want too so I decided that is going to Aubrey's family. I don't know how many generations her lineage will go on but for now, this is what I want to do with them. So we decided that Aubrey and Orange needed to have a baby! Well, the game decided that she needed to have twins so now we have Fabion and Jacklyn. Like just look how cute these three are together!

I mean they are all pretty darn cute! We haven't really gotten to see too much of Jacklyn and Fabion since we literally just had them before the break and I don't even think they were toddlers yet or we just aged them up before we took the hiatus. We haven't really been playing in Aubrey's point of view too much either. I also think we have a few more toddlers roaming around that can be apart of toddler playdates too! I know I have the Villareals under my played file so their kids haven't aged up so there are two more toddlers! But if any more appear in any of our playdates I'll make sure to tell you who they are. Not all of them will be apart of the main story just some friends for these guys.

I'll be completely honest I was a little frustrated trying to figure out how to make this workout! I wanted to have a lot more toddlers during the playdates than we had so there's a couple attempt throughout this post of playdates and I still haven't gotten them all together at one time. I really ended up adding Fabion, Jacklyn, and Aubrey to the household and built a toddler play area in the yard for the kids to play. We started out at Maleficent's house with the three toddlers.

It's summertime so my goal is for the kids to all stay in the playground while the parents get to hang out outside and relax. Maleficent and Judith got to hang out first since the twins and Aubrey hadn't shown up yet.

We kind of ended up spending the day like a daycare since as soon as the twins and Aubrey got to the house Aubrey had to go to work so Maleficent got to spend time with her niece and nephew plus her daughter. I think they had a lot of fun and the three cousins really got to know one another since this was the first time they really got to hang out. The last time they were together we were only doing family pictures so they weren't really hanging out.

It also ended up being Morgyn's day off so he got to help on toddler duty! Morgyn is an amazing father and I think he really loves this family because he always jumps at the chance to spend time with them.

Don't get me wrong Maleficent is an amazing mother and very protective over her family. She does everything she can for her family and Judith is the center of her whole world.  We just always knew that she would be a good mother and Morgyn a great father its just these two together is what we really have concerns about and we will look more into their relationship soon. Anyways look at how cute Maleficent and Jacklyn are! Jacklyn is definitely the more sassy twin. I've been thinking of her more as our spoiled princess who is growing up in this Hollywood royalty family so of course, this is going to go to her head. But right now she's just a toddler and when you are a toddler these things just don't matter. Right now all that matters is hanging out with their friends and just being happy! Jacklyn, I think looks just like Aubrey just darker skin tone. I don't know why she showed up in winter wear but I eventually changed her into her hot weather wear throughout the day.

Even though Fabian has a name that sounds like he would be the spoiled one he is actually the more grounded one. He definitely likes to do things on his own. Hangout outside, he has a custom trait that I got from Snowiii95's Patreon and that's Friend with Nature. I just feel like this fits him and it might change as he gets older because I feel like younger kids just like hanging out outside and getting messy so that's what he loves to do at the moment. I really think he is the more laid back one because he prefers to do everything on their own.

As much as toddlers get hated on for being annoying or needy in the Sims 4 I really love some of the things that they can do in the game. I don't really remember doing much with them in previous games mostly because I was never a legacy player. I would play a couple generations then be done. So I really just don't remember how they were before now except that babies used to do more things than we can now. I love all of the things toddlers can do in the game and as much hate as the ball pit got for its design in the game I love watching the toddlers jump into it. There's a lot of things that I would love to add to the game for toddlers or even change to make better and yeah I would change the ball pit's graphics but the function of it is amazing. It's the same as if a sim is jumping into the pool pretty much.

When I was trying to design the play area for the toddlers' playdate I kept going back and forth to have the giant thing or disconnect pieces of it and have them in different areas of the yard but I'm glad that we got to have it the way we did because look at how cute these two girls are! It looks like Judith and Jacklyn are talking to one another and then towards the end of this set of pictures she goes under the balls and Judith starts freaking out until she finds her again! I just thought it was so cute and something that would happen in real life.

As the day went on most of the time the toddlers were pretty self-sufficient. They would play in their yard and when they got hungry Morgyn actually grilled them some food. I put a full outdoor kitchen in here just to make them food. I really wanted to make this area as useful as possible and part of that was making sure that the kiddos had access to food. Out of all of the kids that were here only Judith has really been potty trained so far. I really haven't played in Aubrey's household yet so we worked on potty training them too.

I probably should've had Aubrey work from home so that she could've been here the whole time but we will have another playdate at their house and then maybe one more with all of the parents. Sometimes it's nice for the parents to just get away from the kids even if it is off to work so that they can refresh and come back ready to be full-time parents again. I plan on them all to spend a weekend with the grandparents so that the parents can go on a double date and have a weekend off. I think that is going to be a lot of fun!

Since I was struggling with getting the whole toddler playdate to workout I decided to go visit the Villareal household. Both Luna and Max still live in the Villareal household and they both have toddlers! Right now there are actually 3 toddlers in the Villareal household. Luna and her husband had twins and the mother of Max's son died shortly after giving birth to Angel. Since Max and Maleficent grew up together I thought it would be fun for their kids to get to know one another. As soon as we got there Judith and Luna's son Stephen really hit it off. They were pretty much joint at the hip the whole time we were there. I think their personalities are very similar and since Judith's speech is so advanced she is able to sit there and talk to him.

The Villareals have a little toddler area up on their balcony. I just really think some of these interactions are just so cute! I just wish the Villareals could've walked up the stairs and spend time with here in the play area but Judith is also really independent too and doesn't care to hang out on her own. She eventually ended up back downstairs to spend time with the three toddlers again. I honestly have no clue how her skills are so high since we are hardly ever in the household anymore but they are.

While the kids played the adults got to catch up! We haven't seen Max since Morgyn's birthday party and even then we barely got to catch up with him. As the years have gone on these two really have gotten distant. I think when Maleficent started doing her spellcasting she pulled away from everyone who wasn't apart of that world. This is when we started really getting closer to Zander so Max really disappeared for a long time. But as time went on Maleficent started opening back up to her old friends again and Max is one of her coworkers so it really helped pull these two back together. Oh, it was also brawl day so what better way to catch up other than getting into a brawl with one another?!

Luna's daughter, Jazmin, and Max's son, Angel, both got pretty freaked out from talking to a stranger since Judith to them was a stranger. So they didn't really get to hang out that much yet. But I plan on adding them to the group and this might be the group of toddlers that Judith and the twins get to hang out with. Altogether we will have 6 toddlers in the group!
